Background

So here's a bit about myself. I'm 28 years old. My real name is Ekaterina Karpushina yet I prefer my professional nickname, Altus Umbrae, in my work. I love what I do and try to get better and better with every project and I really hope that shows in my work.

Programming

I have 6+ years of software industry experience which includes Full Software Development Life Cycle (System Study, Analysis, Requirement Specification, Architecture Design, Development, Testing, and implementation). Excellent analytical, problem solving, inter-personal, and communication skills.

I started writing programs when I was 10 years old ( that's 1990 ). 2 years later ( 1992 ) I moved from Basic ( not Visual Basic for sure ) to C++. When I was 18 years old I passed the Moscow State University examinations and started my high education. In 2004 I finished my formal education and began my postgraduate work. Due to life circumstances and me being slowly disappointed in the future science carrier I went to work as programmer.

I have worked in the many famous and truly good for their workers firms, like Cadence Design Systems, Nika Software, Auriga Inc., Transas Technologies.

Now I am searching to change the field. I am tired of C++ ( 16 years of writing programs in it can do that ). Knowing many different image processors and vector editors due my ( mostly private ) interest in the photography and arts, I am feeling myself ready to also become web-designer.

Design

I produce websites that offer rich graphical surface with hard working technical underpinnings. I have recently completed the transition from pure PC game design&programming to interactive Web Pages. I am always concerned about navigation and site structure, as well, as user comfort.
